Draft Revised Policy and Regulations:
PRIDE Sexual Orientation and Gender
Identities (ACB and ACB R-1)
            The Chairperson welcomed L. Pedrini, Social
Responsibility and Diversity Manager, and      
S. Lofquist, Anti-homophobia Mentor, Learning Se
rvices.  Referring to the memorandum dated
April 10, 2014 entitled
Draft Revised Policy and Regulations:
Sexual Orientation and Gender
Identities (ACB and ACB R-1)
, L. Pedrini and S. Lofquist briefly outlined the documents for
information to Committee members.   
In answer to questions from Committee members, the following information was provided:

The purpose of the proposed change is make
the policy more concise, while adding new
regulations;
•
The regulations include a Section G, Gender
Identity and Gender Expression which is based
on best practice and provides direction on supporting students
The proposed revised policy and regulations will be reviewed at the next meeting of this
Committee, with consideration for moving recommendations forward to the Board.
