中文概要：目击者称自己事发时正在医院一楼的门诊部，陪同不会讲中文的远房亲戚做理疗。在听到众人的尖叫声与沉重撞击声后，当事人跑出去，看到了自杀现场。他描述了这样一个画面：17岁的华裔女孩从4楼跳下，脸朝下躺着，头被劈成两半，骨盆断裂，两条腿被打断成碎片。该当事人指责医院护栏不足4英尺，任何人都可轻松翻越。另外，在事发后，医院并无应急反应小组，抢救行动迟滞了至少10分钟。【注：《世界日报》称其“被院方立即送至急诊室抢救”】同时，医院切断了与外界的电话联系，并向员工下达了对媒体的封口令。
该目击者也同时对媒体提出了批评。指责媒体缺乏对此事件的报道。
I am reporting an incident I observe myself while visiting Bellevue Hospital NYC lacted on First Avenue and 27th Street, NY 10016, with a Family member on 1/10/2014.
I went there as a translator as my distant relative did not speak English.
What I observe first hand was unbelievable.
I went to 1st floor Ambulatory care building for Rehab and physical therapy. Suddenly around 11:15 we heard a really loud scream coming from numerous people/all corners and followed immediately after  a huge thud. When everyone started to run and we started to run as to find out what has just happened, we noticed a person laying face down on the main lobby of the Bellevue building. Everyone were screaming and running around. Suddenly I have noticed that the person laying face down was a young girl struggling for her life. Apparently a young Chinese girl who is a Bellevue hospital patient who was around 17 years old jumped off the 4th floor of Bellevue Clinic in an effort to take her life. Bellevue is partly responsible because their railing is no longer than 4 feet long and anyone can climb up and commit suicide.
I am not sure whether the girl made it, but most likely not. Because her head was split in half, pelvis was broken and both legs were broken into pieces. Her father was with her. We heard the providers were talking about that rapid response team of the hospital was not even there for at least 10 minutes to save the girls life. It is utterly unacceptable while such an unfortunate event happens at the Hospital. I guess the hospital was not prepared for this kind of shock even though they try to pride themselves about being one of the best, flagship of NYC HHC system and affiliates with NYU medical center. Also I heard that the clinic stuff were complaining that such a tragic event happen yet they are not closing the clinic and that they have cut off all incoming phone calls from outside the hospital to the clinic. Also they advised all employees not to talk to the press.
I was shocked at you guys the so called journalists; none of you guys were there to interview witnesses. No news media was there. I came home and watched news and I did not see any news about it.
I was so shocked.

There were at least more than 200 people who observed what happened. Many people took pictures and videos.
You guys must ask hospital official what happened. You can interview the guys who sells coffee on the streets and food vendors in front of the hospital what happened on 1-10-14. You can also interview the porters who cleans Bellevue floors or any employees.
You guys must tell NYCers this news.
So many garbage news are put forth in the news and newspaper everyday but such a  big news being left alone!
Shame!
You guys must interview and tell the truth, how this hospital failed to provide security for their patient.
