关于WFG (World Financial Group)的故事

累了,倦了,也悔了……曾经以为自己是一个当机立断的人,放弃工作,毅然决然加入
WFG (World Financial Group)。象许多人一样,被一个美好的梦牵着,被no family
left behind的口号激励着,被成功人士的经验教导着,被疼爱我的老公支持着,我奋
斗了,也辉煌过。现在默然回首,重新思考,顿悟了。
新年接到老友的电话,当年我们一同“出道”WFG,两年后他放弃了,回国做了一个研
究所副所长,现在又成立了自己的公司。他说,如果不是做WFG耽误了两年时间,现在
他的事业肯定不止这个规模。我开始做WFG时,觉得他有才,拉他一起入伙,我们轰轰
烈烈做了两年,他虽然做兼职,也做得相当不错。突然离开时,他不想伤我的心,只淡
淡地说了一句“我想做点实实在在的事业。”又是两年过去了,他问我做的如何,我突
然哽咽了。
我一直觉得自己是一个执着的追梦人。朋友走的时候,我的团队丢了一半。MD(
Marketing Director)鼓励我,“人总是会碰出来的,你只要碰到两个想做的就成了”
。我鼓起勇气,不断向新的LEVEL发起冲锋。大概运气不好,总是在一段时间后败下阵
来,重新开始。我从不缺席大大小小的会议,振奋自己,我的梦想一次又一次在那里被
点燃,我的心被感动着。然而时间久了,那些讲激情故事的人不见了,在台上的总是那
个最成功的人讲述着他赚到一百万的故事,旁边几个成功的面孔,也已经不新鲜了。每
年有几颗“新星”,多数仅是昙花一现。而坐在下面听的人,已然更换了不知多少批。
这让我想起“围城”-  里面的人想冲出来,外面的人想冲进去。
做了一段时间后,我的梦由清晰变得模糊。嘴上讲的是“帮助家庭”“解救苍生”,掩
藏在心里的是对“做一笔可以享受持续收入”的贪婪,和对“找到一个能人就可以终生
受益”的欲望,我有点为自己所不耻。WFG是我见过的最“POSITIVE”的公司:每个人
都在这里得到前所未有的“认可”-“你肯定行”,你的每一个小小进步都会被大张旗
鼓地表扬,你的每一个小小成功都会迎来铺天盖地的奖状……人其实是非常容易冲昏头
脑的,几块奖牌,一片掌声, 就可以使自信膨胀十倍。成功的故事不需要太多,只要
几个,就可以传唱,就可以激励一批又一批的人。来美国的,哪个不觉得自己牛,至少
比那个能挣二十万的牛。我就是在人群中被忽悠着。
牛人也需要选择正确时机。当众多人去分享同一个梦时,梦的魅力已被稀释了。CEO十
几年前开垦的是处女地,而现在我们脚下的这片土地,已经不知道被多少人践踏过多少
次。当身边的人都听说过,接触过,甚至加入过WFG时,我们付出的努力大概不剩十分
之一的回报了。十几年中,前赴后继的人应该数不胜数了,而留下的又有几人? 牛人
赶末班车,也难成大业。我的MD比我早一些加入,到现在也没有赚到年收入五万。其实
能赚到五万的人,肯定是少于百分之一的。我不知道他还能坚持多久,只知道他最近又
找了份新工作。
我需要抉择。还要继续冲吗?老公心疼我,他说这些年我憔悴了很多,我这么努力,做
其它事业也应该成功了。我嘴硬,说做什么都不好做。其实,心里也已经决定放弃了。
我没有信心自己有这个运气,能够碰到“能人”。过去几年,我已经不记得自己打过多
少电话,邀请过多少人,被拒绝过多少次。团队里的面孔已经换了好几轮,而人数并没
有增加。我的MD总是用最饱满的热情,不厌其烦地培训着新人,也不断的看着旧人离去
。我不知道自己要不要继续重复下去,那个梦好象并没有因我的努力而与我接近。心累
了,也厌了。这种没有结果的付出值得吗?
有一种欺骗不是编造谎言,而是“只说好的”。永远都是那些最亮的星星成为瞩目的焦
点,那些曾经闪亮的,很快就会被淡忘。只有看到潮起潮落的人才会感伤。台上的人无
休止地SELL DREAM,他们并不在意谁是“星”,对他们来说只要有“星”,就可以激励
后来人。几乎没有人真诚的告诉你,你适不适合做这个生意。因为每个加入的人都有一
个基本价值,那就是你可以带进更多的人,介绍更多的客户。但是这个价值在系统里是
要奉献给upline的。如果你不能在这里走下去,你的奉献就是真的奉献了。有不少人因
此痛骂WFG,我不骂WFG,因为WFG只不过SELL 一个DREAM给我,是我自己接受了,我只
检讨自己。
再怎么说,WFG都不失为一个发展的机会,只是你适合不适合。把这些写出来,是希望
兄弟姐妹们借鉴。这些都是你的UPLINE永远都不会告诉你的。人容易追梦,也难舍已经
获得的东西。做人一定要拿得起,放得下,否则,你多用几年的时间,得到相同的结果
,只会增加一分无奈。逝去的光阴不会倒流。我欣赏我的朋友,有自知之明。懂得放弃
的人,其实是更珍惜时间的人。

年纪大了,话多,说几句我的经历吧。
5,4,3,2,1
第一次接触WFG是5年前,偶然认识一个路人甲电话问我
是不是对现有的工作不满意?是不是希望赚更多钱?想不想做一份财经有关的工作?
我说是啊。你们公司做什么的,对方说来了就知道了,等你下班来吧。我想想没去,啥正经公司下班后面试啊。
这个公司神神秘秘的,不像正经生意。现在还常常在华人超市附近看见路人甲,不像发了财的样子。

第二次是4年前一个新认识的朋友,自己加入了。犹犹豫豫找我去。我说你这事情你觉
得是好事,我当然会去,你如果觉得不好,就不用找我。他说好事。我就去了。里面的
人都好热情。看录像啊,听讲座啊,还有鼓掌啊,新人感言啊,看看墙上的大富翁们的
头像,手上的冠军戒指啊,真的是不错。和上线谈谈,和老大谈谈。想想回家再说。回
家商量了一下,觉得不适合自己,没有加入。朋友去考执照,过了3个月,朋友也没做
了。家庭和睦,幸福美满。
不过学了一招,在同乡会里采用这个办法,来新会员就自我介绍,大家鼓掌。新人都好
开心。老会员都赞我有办法。我没说是WFG学来的。
虽然没加入,也算是没白去。还是很多可以学习借鉴的地方。大家不用怕成那样。

第三次是3年前在Walmart看见一个WFG的人,走来走去找华人搭讪。上面说的那个朋友
就是他在walmart招聘去的。自己没有这种精神,真的很佩服。
WFG是个锻炼人的地方。WFG的厚脸皮精神我很需要。

第四次是去年。一个外地刚来的客户跟我看房子。看了两天,她说要去上午WFG,下午
和我看房子。下午来电话说不去了,WFG的一个人带她去。虽然有的agent抢生意不择手段,
这也有点够狠吧。外边混的华人经纪人基本都认识,对方说的名字我却不知道。后来又遇到她,
她说对方不是经纪人,只是拿着一个钥匙开门。哦,我说那谁帮他过户呢?她说是老美
。心想:WFG的是卖保险的,怎么做起地产了。拿agent钥匙自己看房偷偷的也就算了,
怎么明目张胆啊带客人啊。
参加某些WFG某些人不怎么道德。

最后一次是去年底。里面的一个人找我吃饭。约了几次,终于可以了。聊了一阵,关心我家,我身体,我事业。
说帮我介绍地产客人。我拒绝了,家庭和睦,孩子健康,事业起步,没时间,没兴趣,没可能。对方借了我一本
书。内部训练资料。基本看完了。很多东西我做地产都能用得上。一一记录了下来。
凡存在的必有道理。三人行必有我师。沃虽然目前没有加入,但是已经和WFG学到了很多东西。
加不加入,看个人的兴趣和爱好。跟着学习,训练没什么不好。

以上是我和WFG亲密接触的经过,仅供参考。

WFG交100刀的background check fee就可加入,training
material 都是你的MD花25刀给买的,羊毛出自羊身上也好,关键是你想做就做,不想
做随时可以撤,没人逼着啊,反正100刀买衣服也买不了几件,就当交学费了~

忍了很久,还是决定写点东西来纪念D.C.之旅。也许你看了这片文章会感到失望,但很抱歉,我只是想告诉你事实。

  72个小时、满身的疲倦还有400美元买回来的只有两个字:悲哀,为参加World Financial Group Business的中国人感到悲哀。

  World Financial Group(WFG)是一家金融产品代理公司,1992年成立,现属荷兰Aegon财团的控股子公司。主要业务是推销金融产品。采用的是传销模式,即上线发展下线,从这些人的朋友中寻找客户,然后大家按比例分钱。也许我说到传销,大家都会感到惊诧,在中国传销已经明令禁止,但这是美国,由于它没有触犯法律,所以是合法的。

  真是“不到城隍庙,不知道烧香的人多”。你不到现场,也不可能想象得出有多少中国人是他们的会员,更不可能想象得出他们的学位有多高。他们绝大部分拥有美国名牌大学的PhD学位,还有N多双硕士加一个PhD的,说出来可真是让人羡慕啊,多少中国人希望能有朝一日到美国来留学,即使来看看也好啊,更何况是PhD学位。但这些人去毅然决然地离开了他们曾经花了五年宝贵青春换回来的PhD学位,离开了能帮他们建立声誉的实验室,加入到一个他们完全陌生的行业中来——金融推销业。是什么力量使得他们做出这样的决定?要知道他们以前可是从来都没有接触金融,更别说推销了,一直以来都是跟实验室内的瓶瓶罐罐打交道,现在要他们来说服别人购买自己的产品,真是难为他们了。但他们却乐此不疲,还巴不得要把自己的经验告诉给别人。

  一位UPen毕业的PhD给了大家一些答案。“我是一所大学的Faculty,主要任务是做研究。在加入WFG之前,我觉得自己的生活主要是写Proposal,写完了提交上去,等待别人的审判,过了就往下做,没过就接着写下一个。等到了后来,我已经麻木了,Proposal过与不过我已不再care,过了又怎样?不过又怎样?突然觉得这样的生活很无聊。而正在我情绪低落,无比徘徊的时候,有人介绍我加入WFG,如是我就加入了······”他讲完后,大厅内爆发出一阵热烈的掌声,可以看得出他道出了很多人的心声。

  另一位“高人”说我加入WFG是不想在我40岁以后还要被公司辞职,我要有自己的business。这同样也得到了大多数人的欢呼。

  ······

  其实,可以看得出他们是为了钱,说得好听点是为了成就感。但其实,这些东西对他们来说在中国内地更能够获得。可他们却不愿正视大陆的机会,宁愿放弃自己追求了多年的学术研究。

  我们为什么要去做WFG的Business?难道没有更值得去做的事情了吗?我真的不理解他们放弃学术研究来做传销的决定,而这些都只是为了一点点钱。而这些钱对他们来说,在国内也是可以轻松赚到的。

  我曾经的梦想,曾经对这些美国名校PhD的景仰在看到这些后,都黯然消退了。

警惕WFG家庭理财名义老鼠会
正值报税时节,头两天pig公司有人发宣传邮件说免费报税讲座,而且地点还离家很近就去听听了。是俩中国人直接以中文弄的,到场的如果按家算只有4,5家中国人(所以猜当时是不是针对中国人发的宣传)。讲座当时的确是以客观数字讲政策,72法则投资回报法则等。结束后说可以上门针对性咨询1个小时。觉得听一听也可以,反正一个小时,就当了解一下。真那天上门“咨询”的时候可不止1个小时了,天花乱坠但却一步一步以客观数字为材料得说了4个小时,(本来要看的superbowl都被迫错过了)。不得不承认,他们的说教材料已经相当成熟,最后目的,一是让你买他们的life insurance,二是能入“会”最好。最后还推动性得希望你直接买,或直接帮你注册。详细说教方法下面详细写,总之隐藏的东西他们不讲,只讲好的部分。后来pig上bbs看税的事,顺便看到很多关于这个WFG的详细骗人方法,甚至有人真的当场直接买了被套进去,甚至版上有人还为之辩护。

“咨询”详细过程:

1. 家庭理财按金字塔型上税后底层首先用于medical insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, house mortage; 往上是emergency;再有多余钱要投资计划,包括long term的投资和孩子edu投资计划;再上就是消费了。

--make sense.

2. 那好,针对第一层insurance, medical, disability公司的benefit已经非常好,他们对我们没什么好讲的。但是life insurance,拿前一段车祸挂的几个哥们为例天灾人祸谁说得准,你的life insurance(employee都只是工资的两倍,但还有accident life insurance)才只有两倍工资,才那么点,应该多买点。多买,如果在公司买会比在外面买贵(估计基本是假的),不信你去公司看看增点需要多交多少钱?等你试...发现每年只有一次改动机会,不能随时改计划(这个不能实际改改看他们估计非常清楚)。那好,道理开讲,年轻人从我们外面买比公司便宜是有道理的,公司按得平均年龄,你年轻;公司有人抽烟,你不抽烟--所以你被平均后就高了,从外面买对你们这种不抽烟年轻人肯定便宜(有待考证)。

--好像有点点道理。

3. life insurance分term和permanent。term就像租房子,permanent就像买房子。permanent的话只要去世就给你保额的钱,比如50w,无论是何种死因,而且作为VUL,取出时不需补税--试想你到最后这么多钱上遗产税得上多少啊。而我们呢,还把life insurance跟mutual funds投资综合在一起,既是保险又是投资,这样,头几年交了年轻时的保险费后,后面只用投资收益里自动扣就可以了。按10%的收益率,几年内只需投入约2w(?)就可得到50w保底的收益,甚至更多。而且越早投,收益率按后面几年的翻倍,最后的资产越多。它还比401k,IRA等灵活,那些存进去就不能取吧,取了就要上税;而我们这个只要保留保险,其余的都是你自己支配取还是留,取也不需上税。

4. 10%的收益有历史收益数字支持,有专门人看funds随时换好的,我们公司排名第几的大公司,在中国也有子公司,给你看看网页。美国法律制度健全,这些增长都是可以预测的。给你看看实际帐户,嗯,客户的不能看,看我的吧。显示2003年开户,至今,投入8w,帐上已有9w6,还有了100w的life insurance。如果买,我们会需要一个体检,但是上门服务。

5. 别,我们这个周期比较长,体检要预约,还要材料审批。何不现在先约上,回头不需要了可以cancel嘛。而且,只要你约上,在材料审批下来这个期间,我们给你free 保险上了,所以只要约上现在没交钱就有了保险了,而且钱越早投资收益越多嘛。

--哦,不过我们还是要看看再说。

6. 哦,那多长时间?两个星期?那我们先预定上**号我再过来吧。不过我们公司呢,就像ms,比较强大,所以树敌自然比较多,别听那些网上评论,要有自己的看法,互联网少儿不宜是不。

bbs精华区甚至已经有此一文件夹,它黑就黑在很多charge没告诉你,但在你签字的policy里面有,所以你加入后几年内几乎就别想退,退肯定亏不少。VUL本身就是给超级有钱人的某种目的而设的,现在却被这帮人拿来骗f1或新来等想理财但还不了解怎样理财的人口袋中本来就不太多的钱,甚至因为利益而无耻得骗自己中国人--据称每得到一份新合同,这些“代理”就基本几k到手定了,再按百分比每年提成。

1)$3 for every payment: hmm… you can afford that.
2)$5-7.5 per month administration charge: han4 lao4 bao3 shou1.
3)Front-load investment: 6% load for the first ten years, and 2.5% after ten
years. Auch!
4)2% cash withdrawal charge: do you plan to use that to supplement retirement
monthly?
5)Otherfees--subaccount reallocation, loans (forget it).
6)Surrender charge: Make sure to suck every drop of your blood in case you
might get enlightened on bbs.
7)Cost of insurance: You have to pay cost of insurance when you are 70-80
years old.  For example, when you are 85 years old (in 60 years) and have, say                                          
, only $200K death benefit (worth about $34K in present dollar assuming
inflation is 3%) then you will have to pay as much as $16660 per month in cost
insurance alone (according to the prospectus).  Upon your death, your spouse
and kids will happily collect $34k death benefit (today’s dollar) from the
Western-Reserve Life (if it still exists), after your life long commitment of
enriching WRL by many times of amount of your death benefit.  Most people won
’t be as lucky as you are, the used up their policy cash value for retirement
(or even earlier than that) supplement and figuring they couldn’t come up
with $16660/month for the insurance money at age of $85 and let policy lapse,
and die with nothing, still after a semi- life-long premium payment.
8)Mortality and Expense risk charge (ME charge): this is a vampire but not the
worst part. 0.9% for first 15 years, and 0.3-0.6% after that, every year, of
your entire cash value!
9)Hidden expenses underlying the subaccounts (“mutual funds”).  This is the
biggest secret in the VUL business and the most disgusting one.  I am sure
your uplines and uplines don’t know this dirty trick.  It’s written nowhere,
but takes some research to reveal the disgustingly high fees.  Have you
wonder why your “mutual funds” in the VUL don’t have a ticker though they
have the similar name as those publicly available, such as WRL MARSICO GROWTH,
WRL PIMCO TOTAL RETURN, and FIDELITY VIP II CONTRAFUND PORTFOLIO - SERVICE
CLASS 2.  It’s not too hard to figure out these are marsico growth (MGRIX),
pimco total return (PTTRX), and fidelity Contrafund (FCNTX), plus some charges                                          
by WRL make it a WRL xxxxx funds.  Here is how you can figure out how much
charges they added. Click on the performance page of your product “WRL
Freedom Elite Builder [54.8Kb]” at http://www.westernreserve.com/site1/invst_op
t/performance.jhtml  and you will find their accumulative returns for the last t
hree years as of July 31, 2005 are 36.97%, 14.33%, and 52.28%.  That’s pretty g
ood return. Of course, but what would be the return if you invest with the mutua
l fund directly? To find the answer, you will have to go to finance.yahoo.com to
download their adjusted NAV data, because the numbers are not on Morningstar. I
will do the work for you, just make sure to get their dirty tricks exposed—47.
20%, 19.04% and 55.49%.  So, WRL secretly ripped you off 10.23%, 4.71% and 3.21%
during the last three years without you even knowing it.  You think they will t
ell you this in the prospectus? Go figure.  That’s 1-3% a year, plus whatever k
ickbacks and commissions they get from the fund company because they are a large
institutional buyer.  Oh, my! 1-3% a year, regardless of your return, on top of
mutual fund own expense ratio (about 1%).
Now here is your story, as a loyal customer (before get enlightened on mitbbs)
, say you pay $300 per month minimum, here is where the money goes: $3 + $5 +
~$15 (6% of investment), and the every-escalating monthly insurance cost, and
the rest meager goes to investment. The part of investment money (cash value)
will be charged 0.90% ME charge + 1-3% hidden charge + 1% fund ER (by fund
managers), roughly 3-5% every year, year after year!  You now know why those
VUL sales people get thousands of commissions instantly after the deal closed.
  You think it’s a tax-deferred investment, yeah, an investment for WFG and
WRL, and you are the sacrifice and offerings.

1) 这个公司,从低级的服务对象而言,是要求大家推销保险产品和其他金融产品; 但是没有底薪.我一个都推销不出去,也没有人怪我. 而且我也没有人可以推销. 当然我不是在推销产品,我着眼点在其他方面.# U8 c' s/ J1 Z+ y9 F

1) 该公司给我一个positive attitude. 为什么呢? 我在和每个人说该公司的时候,100人里头有100个认为我在骗钱. 尤其是见过各种骗术的中国人. 所以我通常不推销中国人加入,我推销洋人加入. 那么推销洋人的过程中也有大量的抵触,所以你就要辩论,论证...etc. 挺有趣的. 该公司还帮助我如何采取策略说服对方; 舌入巧簧!!! 不是吹的. w$ I. ]/ d6 H6 u, g2 j$ I
2) 我喜欢参加每周二,或三的活动,大家在一起聊天. 加入组织的人群中各种职业的人都有,你可以了解一些信息.比如有的是建筑商, 有的是加油站老板等等. 通常,你见不到这些人,因为移民,尤其中国移民都不喜欢和其他种族的人交流.' r  `& L7 y) Q7 j% H, e" P
另: 所有的笑脸都是为了赚钱. 推销员是这样,任何职业都是这样. 你去CT修车,还可以喝免费咖啡,很舒服么?NO,CT收你110$/H的labor!; 你去饭店吃饭,服务员笑脸迎接,为什么?为你小费多些么. 推销员也是这样, 你购买保险,他就有提成; 因为他服务了你; 就象饭店,你吃了100,小费给了15,你就不心疼? 8 z. L7 y  i: E" B9 r* Z' |* c

最近看到好几个传销贴, 冒着下周认证考试被挂的危险, 忍不住注册上来说说我在美国纽约遇到川销叫world financial gourp, 人称WFG. 他们已经超越了药啊, 补品啊的范围, 跃进到包装甚为完美, 讲的高深莫测的投资产品! 包括共同基金, 理财保险等等等等....而且据说最近要在北京开分部了, 在北京的同志乡亲门一定要提高警惕!! 八过现在中国股票比美国火的多, 也没人想投给他们吧....哎, 我废话真多...马上进入正题
  
  
  其实我也是被一个高中+大学朋友拉去的. 她原来是个很老实内向的女生, 除了学习基本没有任何爱好, 大学基点3.8+, 不喜欢上网, 不喜欢和人打交道, 举个例子, 就最近她看到我手机上贴的大头贴, 特激动, 感叹了半天, 还问我哪里才能拍, 我真想说, 你西单真的没去过吗?? 我估计就是她阅历太少,才那么容易就被拉下老鼠洞.
  
  其实她从外州到纽约找工作不过几个月而已, 每次给我打电话经常提到她的一堆 "朋友", 一个朋友怎样怎样赚钱, 另一个朋友组织大爬踢邀请她去, 这个下午去和一个朋友喝茶, 周末到新泽西朋友家包饺子.....在后来就是告诉我她在做business, 原话就是: "我们做business的怎样怎样, 你要不要来跟我谈business啊? 不要? 我以后做business赚了大钱你可不要眼红啊!" 一口一个business听的我很奇怪, 小妞眼看OPT就快过期, 你不好好找工作,每天都在干啥啊? 再后来就告诉我, 她在做大business, 能转大钱的, 又说这个周末要去休思顿开会, 下个周末要去波士顿出差...
  
  
  第一次真正发现她是做传销是一个周末, 她要说一起喝咖啡, 介绍一个她的好朋友给我. 来的时候阵势可大了, 那个"朋友" A带了一个大文件包, 里面几个巨大的文件夹, 塞漫了纸, 看上去都是合同啊什么的. 两个人一人掏出一个A4的大笔记本, 拿着笔,真有点business的架势 那天我就是拎个小包包来喝咖啡的, 这架势着实吓到了我.
  
  A开始就拉家常啊啥的, 问我工作好不好, 忙不忙啊 (废话, 一天12个小时, 你以为我闲啊), 然后就开始批评如今金融行业的欠缺, 销售手段如何落后. 然后又开始说麦当劳, 把店面经营权下放给私人, 但是统一手段管理, 才发展成如今的大规模. 说要把这种创新思路引入金融产品, 这是一种崭新的营销理念, 点点点 点点点. 更可怖的是, 我那个同学就坐在旁边记笔记!!! 你门知道那个A4笔记本的用处了吧. 她跟上课似的, 把哪个"朋友"讲话的要点都抄下来.(之后我会说到,某周末我被拉去了一整天的"宣传表章"大会,才发现那帮人都拿着本本在记,而且说话的人还会站在台上问"对不对?"全场都要大声回答"Yes!!", 跟西特勒似的...鸡皮疙瘩掉一地)
  
  话说那天我听了一个小时, 还是没找到重点, 我当时可是以为她真的再做business啊, 要是有好的投资机会我也想参与啊~~于是我不难烦了, 打断A, 直接问她是什么business, 她呆了一下, 大概是觉得我还没被洗脑, 不能告诉我?? 总之, 她就犹犹豫豫的说, 是一个叫WFG的组织哦, 翻译过来就是世界金融集团哦, 是全球最大的哦(我估计是传销人数最多),遍布美国个州哦, 最近还在北京开了分部哦. 我当时也傻, 没听说过这个老鼠会, 不然google一下就都知道了. 然后A接着说, 这个公司可以parttime哦, 而且可以自己有自己的shop哦, 自己开独立的business一年可以赚100万美金的哦. 我当时还是傻, 就直接问, 公司平白无故给你一个店, 给你那么多机会, 你就一点钱都不用交, 一点风险都不用担? A又犹豫了一下, 好象她也不知道, 还是我问倒她了,就说,你那么好奇哦,下次到我们soho办公室来吧,我给你慢慢讲哦.然后我又问了一些关于她私人的问题,主要是想看看她是个事业有成的主还是loser.(人在纽约身不由己啊,交朋友格外要慎重,不然被搞死都不知道死在谁手里.)她说她中国某大学读完本科,过来读了研究生,工作也不顺(我听出来的,当然她自己不会这样说的)然后嫁人在家,现在专职搞这个.下次我回说后来我才知道她其实也是个小兵,被拉去参加"大会"才发现真正的传销高手.

WFG used to be WMA. I joined WMA a few years back and kind of fizzled out. It's basically a multi-level business like amway but centered around selling their poster child product called variable life insurance. Basically a way to protect mutual funds etc. from taxes with the flexibility to borrow as necessary from the fund. The product itself isn't bad, and certainly if you get someone with experience setting you up it's no more of a scam than what you'd get from any other typical financial planner. You can actually make money, a lot in WMA, I've known some of the people in the top rungs. And I also know someone who's been in just a couple years who is far from getting rich on it, but I'd guess with a couple years effort he's made 20 or 30k. Ok so here's what I didn't like about it:

1) The product at the time, Western Reserve Life was WAY overpriced when compared to other variable life policies. Since you pass the life insurance test and series 6 broker test, you could sell other brands, but you'll be very much on your own to do it I'm sure.

2) The multilevel "Burn friends for business partners" mentality. What it comes down to is that you'll have a near impossible time making it as a rookie financial planner without your first kills being friends and family. We've all had a friend or family member join Amway and know that from that time forward, every lunch or fishing trip is a sales meeting. If you join WMA, you have to be willing to be that guy.

3) It's real work! That right there tells you it can't possibly be too much of a scam. But it's not for everyone either. Basically, if you are a very sales oriented people person and you're willing to hit your friends and family hard on this you might have a shot at it.

This company has dramatically changed my life as well as a few friends and family of mine. I think people bash World Financial Group because they are taking over the entire finance industry. And I think the people who do bash WFG are people from other financial services companies because they feel threatend by WFG. Pyramid schemes are illegal, so their operation would have been shut down years ago if they were doing anything illegal. After all, the finance industry is one of the highest regulated industries in North America. Think about it, AEGON, a financial powerhouse in the world...bigger than such companies as Microsoft and CocaCola...bought WFG about 7 years ago and never changed a thing that they were doing. Companies such as AEGON, TransAmerica, Western Reserve, AGF, Mackenzie, Franklin Templeton, and many many more companies don't want another Enron or Bre-ex on their hands, so don't you think these financial institutions do their due diligence? Nobody wants to be accompanied with a loser, only winners. And WFG is an undisputable winner that will take over the entire finance industry and will be a household name years down the road. And now to make a comment about taking a person who has little experience in the finance field. Just because a person is new to the field doesn't mean that they can't do the job. This is what makes WFG unique, they show people how the financial services industry works. That's it! Other financial services companies don't expose their inner workings. How many of you out there have wanted to get financial help and when you have, did you learn anything from the rep you talked to? I hardly doubt it! I have gone for help before, and I felt like I walked out of some of these other financial companies stupider than when I walked in. Not with World Financial Group! I actually learned something! They are a good company doing great things! One day, they will be the largest financial services company in the world!

Since when does that fact that some "big" company with "big" pockets purchasing another company make a company legitimate? Ever hear of Worldcom, ENRON, to mention two? JUST BECAUSE A COMPANY IS IN BUSINESS DOESN'T MEAN it isn't engaging in illegal activity as a method of business. Most of your agents are soo stupid it takes them several times to pass the life insurance exam, that I passed without studying, 3 months after the class and I was up all night drinking the night before. I tried working with these morons - so I know how it works. Reason they came after me was because one of my "friends" knew I have a very wealthy family, and money of my own (I pay more in taxes a year than you make as a salary). All things considered ,WFG is a really cute MLM, which they dodge the fact they are that at all costs.

The fact that all the little WFG monkies do is talk about how AEGON is worth billions of dollars immediately raises the inference that you're a bunch of douche bags - why else would you bring it up (oh well of course hardly anyone even knows what WFG is... so i guess now its legit right?).

So I guess every time you call Ritz-Carlton to make a reservation, they tell you they were just purchased by a big corporation thats just amazing called Marriott right?

Seriously, your narrow-minded one-track mind and mentality (that of being UNEDUCATED) ... I'm sure you did not graduate from college, is exactly what WFG looks for = puppet.

WFG shows IDIOTS in the middle to lower income bracket how the financial industry works. You guys call yourselves financial advisors?... explain why your marketing directors tell their little associates that HAVE NO MONEY that they MUST go to the orlando convention last august or whatever, no if's ands or buts. That's sound financial advice - "invest money you don't have into something that has no guarantee of a return on your investment"... and the stock market is something beware? One idiot in the office that was a acclaimed "superstar" (supposedly really going places signing up his friends).... borrowed money for the trip... failed his life insurance exam 5 times (finally gave up)... and is no longer with them.

So what did you learn, the incredibly magic and awesome "rule of 72"? WOW HOW AMAZING, and I'm sure they talked about how you don't learn it in college (which less than half of them have graduated from).

Simply put, WFG is for people that don't have the educationally background to go anywhere in their life, or the focus or effort required to make something of themselves... it's for people that are willing to screw over their friends and family to get ahead... and your compensation hierarchy isn't that great.

NEITHER Is the reputation of my "friend" that introduced me. Ya congrats, make lots of money (or lie about how much you make like the rest of them... which ironically can be checked online for most of the marketing directors and up), its your reputation, not mine.

People BASH WFG for the same reason they would bash any other business that screws them out of thousands of dollars.

FUNNY - YOU're such professionals, thats why I was sold a VUL policy from.. tah dah - Western Reserve Life, I'm 21, NO CHILDREN, NO DEBT... NO ILLNESS... oh **** - no REASON to have an insurance policy other than the bull**** reason your agents offer of "oh buy now so if something happens you always have it where later you might not"... so i should buy an insurance policy for everything else in my life, like my wallet in case i lose a credit card, and my tires in case they go flat, and my girlfriend in case she leaves me. The firm is full of MORONS, less than 10% of the ones that stay in are caucasian... hmm - interesting.
